Maple grew through the nineties and two-thousands, which makes it one of the more predictable parts of Vaughan to quote. The slabs are middle-aged, mostly sound, and the garages are a consistent size.
What the slabs are like here
A typical Maple garage floor is between fifteen and thirty years old. That is old enough to have taken some salt damage near the door and around the tire tracks, but young enough that the slab underneath is usually solid and the control joints are still tight.
The most common issue is not damage but contamination: years of oil drips, tire plasticiser and road film sitting in the surface. Grinding removes it. Washing does not, which is why floors that were only degreased before coating tend to lift in patches.
What that means for the quote
Preparation on a sound Maple slab is a known quantity, so quotes come back tighter here than in the older parts of the city, with less contingency for repair work.
Two-car garages are close to standard through the Eagle Hills and Maple Creek subdivisions, so square footage is predictable and you can compare quotes on the same basis.
What we usually install
Full flake in either a full polyaspartic build for a fast return to service, or an epoxy base with a polyaspartic topcoat where budget matters more than the timeline. Both are appropriate on a slab in this condition.
