Why does the price differ across the city?
Because preparation differs. Grinding, repair and removal are most of the labour on any floor, and how many hours they take depends on what is already stuck to the concrete. A city-wide rate hides that variation rather than removing it.
My community is not one of the six.

Is a site visit part of quoting?

How long does a typical job take?
A sound two-car garage on a fast-cure build is commonly one day. Heavy removal, a large floor or a moisture problem below grade all push it out. The quote states the working days and the return-to-use dates separately, because they are different numbers.
