Commercial epoxy flooring in Maple

The commercial floors in Maple are mostly ones customers walk on. Clinics and offices along Major Mackenzie, studios and gyms in the Keele Street plazas, cafes and showrooms in between. That changes the brief. A storage floor only has to survive; a floor somebody stands on while deciding whether to trust you has to survive and look deliberate at the same time.

Front-of-house floors are quoted with the finish, the slip rating and the reopening time named separately, so none of the three quietly gets traded for another.

What our commercial epoxy flooring process looks like in Maple

Two constraints drive everything on a customer-facing floor: it has to look right under the lighting already installed, and it has to be open when the sign says open.

  1. Visit during trading hours

Seeing the space while it is running shows where people actually walk, which doors bring in weather, and what the floor looks like under the lights that are already there rather than under work lamps.

  2. Fix the finish and the rating together

Colour, gloss level and slip resistance get decided in one conversation, because they pull against each other. A high-gloss entrance photographs beautifully and is the wrong answer in February.

  3. Book against the calendar

Overnight, a weekend, or a planned closure. The cure chemistry is then chosen to hit that reopening time rather than the schedule being bent around a material picked first.

  4. Install and reopen

Work runs to the agreed window, and the floor is handed back with the times for foot traffic, for furniture and for rolling equipment, which are not the same.

The most common mistake on a customer-facing floor is choosing a finish from a sample in a bright showroom. Under the warm, lower light of a real clinic corridor the same colour can read entirely differently, which is why the sample goes down on site.

The stockroom behind a clinic and the corridor in front of it are two different problems wearing the same address. Each area gets the build it actually needs.

Why us

Why choose us for commercial epoxy flooring in Maple

A floor customers see is judged on three things at once, and the failure is usually that only one of them was specified.

  • Front of house

Appearance is part of the specification

On a floor people look at, colour consistency and gloss level are functional requirements, not preferences. They get written into the quote alongside the film build, because a floor that is structurally perfect and patchy in colour has still failed the brief it was bought for.

  • Wet entrances

    Five months of the year

Between November and March every visitor brings slush and road salt through the door on their shoes. The first few metres inside are a different environment to the rest of the room, and they get a different surface: more aggregate, less gloss. It is the single most useful thing to get right in a Maple storefront.

  • Closed Sunday, open Monday

The reopening time is the spec

A day with the doors shut costs most small operators more than the floor does, so the reopening deadline is treated as a hard input rather than a hope. The chemistry gets chosen to hit it, and if no material can hit the date you have in mind, that gets said before the booking rather than during it.

Questions we actually get

Maple commercial questions.

Can it be done over a single weekend?
For most units of this size, yes. Friday evening through Sunday is the common pattern, with a fast-cure build so the space takes foot traffic Monday morning. What decides it is the preparation: an existing coating or heavy adhesive residue can add hours that a weekend cannot absorb, and that gets flagged at quoting.
We are a clinic. Is it cleanable to a health standard?
A seamless resin floor is easier to clean properly than tile, because there is no grout line to hold anything. Where the requirement is formal, running the floor up the wall in a curve removes the junction entirely, so the room can be wet-cleaned right into the corner. Tell us early if you are inspected against a particular standard, since it narrows which products qualify.
The entrance gets slushy all winter. What stops people slipping?
Aggregate in the topcoat, concentrated where the weather actually lands. The first stretch inside the door gets a more textured finish than the rest of the floor, which is barely visible and makes a large difference wet. Matting still helps; the coating means the floor is not relying on it.
Can you match our brand colours?
Base colours can be tinted closely, and that covers most brand palettes. An exact match to a printed reference is not always achievable, because resin pigments and ink behave differently, and colour shifts slightly as it cures. Where the colour is critical we put a sample down on site and confirm it in your lighting before ordering.
How soon can equipment and furniture go back?
Later than foot traffic, and the gap surprises people. A floor can usually be walked on well before it has hardened enough to take the point load of a chair leg or a piece of equipment on castors. Both dates are on the handover sheet, and dragging heavy kit across a floor that is only walkable is the most common way a new install picks up damage.
Our unit has a mezzanine office over the shop floor. Same treatment?
Usually not. A mezzanine deck carries far less load and sees far less traffic, so it takes a thinner, cheaper build. Specifying the whole site at the ground-floor standard is a common way to overspend, and we would rather split it into two line items and let you decide.
