North York, Toronto

Epoxy flooring services in North York

North York is in Toronto, so it sits outside the service area named in this site's business details. Geographically that overstates the gap. The boundary between Toronto and York Region is Steeles Avenue, which means a property on the north edge of North York is closer to the middle of the coverage area than several places well inside it. What changes crossing that line is the municipality, not the journey.

The distance caveat that applies to most of the wider ring applies weakly here. What does apply is that Toronto housing tends to be older, which changes what the quote turns on.

Tell us about the floor.

Room, rough size, and whether anything has already been applied to the slab. On older housing that last answer is the one that matters.

Square footage, or a car count for a garage.

What is on the floor now, how equipment would reach it, and your timing.

Start to finish

What our epoxy flooring process looks like in North York

Because travel is less of a factor here than elsewhere in the ring, the sequence looks like the one used inside Vaughan. The variable is what previous owners left on the concrete.

  1. Establish what is on the slab

A coating, a sealer, an adhesive or old patch repairs each change the preparation, and on a floor with decades behind it there is often more than one. This is the line that moves a quote most.

  2. Check how equipment reaches it

Grinders are heavy and extraction runs indoors. A detached garage down a shared drive, or a basement reached only by a narrow staircase, adds handling time that belongs in the quote rather than in a surprise.

  3. Written scope with the removal named

System, build and preparation in writing. Where the bond of an existing coating cannot be judged from photographs, that item carries a range and the quote explains what decides it.

  4. Install and hand back

One continuous sequence, a walk-through at the end, and separate dates for using the space and for putting weight back on it.

The floors here have more in common with Thornhill and the older parts of Woodbridge than with the newer Vaughan communities. Those two pages describe that kind of slab in considerably more detail than this one does, and the advice on them is not specific to their postcodes.

Why us

Why choose us for epoxy flooring in North York

Two things worth knowing about a Vaughan crew quoting a floor immediately south of the boundary.

  • The boundary is a street

    Not a journey

Steeles Avenue divides Toronto from York Region, and the north edge of North York sits closer to the middle of this coverage area than Kleinburg or King City do. The size caveat that appears on most of the wider-ring pages carries much less weight here, and it would be misleading to repeat it as though it did.

  • Older stock, removal-led

The quote turns on what is already down

Housing here generally predates the newer Vaughan communities, so the deciding question is rarely bonding to fresh concrete. It is what a previous owner rolled on, how well it stuck, and how long it takes to remove. That is the same situation the Thornhill and Woodbridge pages describe at length.

  • Access still needs checking

    Toronto lots are tighter

Shared drives, detached garages at the back of a lot, on-street parking and basements reached by a single narrow staircase all add handling time. None of it prevents a job and all of it affects the hours, so it is worth a sentence in your first message.

Questions we actually get

North York questions.

Are you a Toronto company?
No. This is a Vaughan business, and North York is outside the service area named in its business details. The reason this page does not lean on the usual distance caveat is geographic rather than promotional: the boundary is Steeles Avenue, and plenty of North York addresses are nearer than places already covered inside York Region.
Is a job here further than your Vaughan work?
Often not. A property just south of Steeles is closer to the middle of the coverage area than Kleinburg, King City or Nobleton, all of which are inside York Region. Further south into Toronto that changes, and job size starts to matter the way it does on the other outer pages.
Our house is older and the garage has been painted before. Does that matter?
It is the main thing that matters. Whatever is on the slab has to come off completely rather than be coated over, and how long that takes depends on how well it is stuck. A close-up photograph of the worst area is the single most useful thing you can send, because that item moves the price more than anything else.
The garage is detached at the back of the lot. Any problem?
Not for the floor. It affects handling, since equipment has to be carried further and extraction still needs to run inside. It is worth mentioning up front because it changes the hours, but detached garages down a shared drive are ordinary work rather than an obstacle.
Can you do a storage or service area in an apartment building?
Where access allows, yes, and it is quoted as a commercial floor rather than a residential one. What needs establishing first is who approves the work and what the building's rules are about hours, since in a managed building those usually decide the schedule rather than we do.
Would you take a single small garage?
Here, more readily than in most of the wider ring, for the same geographic reason. It is still worth mentioning if your dates are flexible, since that makes any job easier to place, and flexible timing is the cheapest thing you can offer on any quote.

Send a photo of what is on the slab.

Room, rough size and a close-up of the worst area. On an older floor that is what decides the number.
